2019 was not only a big year for celebrity fashion, it was also a year where many of our favorite celebs took it upon themselves to expand their empires… and their wallets!

What’s up guys, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News, and yes, 2019 shocked us with some unexpected twists and turns, but one thing is for certain: the stars stay thriving! So much so that many of them released new products this year.

First up, we have Kim Kardashian, who launched her new shapewear brand SKIMS earlier this year. Let’s be honest, if I’m taking shapewear advice from anyone, it’s obviously going to be Kim. I mean, that snatched waist at the Met Gala this year?! ICONIC!

Kim is known for her incredible curves, and she wants her fans to be able to achieve the look they want too! SKIMS features shapewear that offers 9 skin tones, and Kim is always coming out with new products, her latest additions being body tape and pasties.

It’s clear that SKIMS has been a huge success thus far, as Kim reportedly made $2 million within just MINUTES of launching the site, according to TMZ.

Keeping it in the same family, Kim’s younger sister Kylie expanded her empire - and her billionaire status - by launching Kylie Skin this year.

While the launch didn’t come without controversy, with some people attacking Kylie over her now-infamous Walnut Scrub, the brand is still successful nonetheless.

We’ve gotta say, our girl Kylie couldn’t have picked a better time to tap into the skincare world. According to data from market research firm NPD Group, sales of skincare products in the U.S. grew by 13% in 2018, and that number is steadily growing.

But Kylie’s not the only celeb who launched a skincare line this year. Millie Bobby Brown launched her own line, Florence By Mills.

Millie has taken everything she’s learned about makeup and skincare and put it into Florence By Mills, which is actually named after her great-grandmother, a woman who she says “embraced herself and did things that made her happy all her life,” a message
she incorporates into the brand.

Millie also made sure Florence By Mills is cruelty free, vegan, and free of animal testing. And we love her for it!

Our next celebrity product launch of 2019 is a bubbly one! We’ll give you a hint - they don’t call him Champagne Papi for nothing!

That’s right, Drake launched not one, but TWO champagnes this year. Mod Sélection Champagne can be described as the haute couture of champagne, as it’s made up of grapes from France.

There’s two versions you can pick up, Mod Sélection Réserve and Mod Sélection Rosé, which are both available now.

So next time you’re at a party and spot a bottle of Mod Sélection Champagne, be sure to keep an eye out for Drake!

And while you’re out partying, don’t forget to spray some of your favorite perfume, which may just be Thank U, Next by Ariana Grande. That’s right, our girl launched her latest perfume this year, inspired by her hit song, of course!

I mean, the girl just doesn’t take a break! I must say, the perfume is exquisite and I’m here for it!

But Ari’s not the only musician who branched out this year. Lady Gaga launched Haus Laboratories, which is, and I quote, “not just another beauty brand.”

Lady Gaga believes that beauty is how you see yourself, and Haus Laboratories aims to give people the creative freedom to express themselves however they want.

The brand launched online and is also available for purchase on Amazon. So far, the products have been a huge hit.

From one makeup launch to another, we absolutely HAVE to talk about Shane Dawson, who, if you haven’t been living under a rock for the past few months, you know launched an exclusive collection with Jeffree Star Cosmetics.

Not only did Shane and Jeffree launch the exclusive Shane x Jeffree Conspiracy Collection, which includes an eyeshadow palette, mini palette, lip glosses, and more, they also took fans behind-the-scenes of the process of creating and distributing a makeup line in a YouTube docuseries.
