Hurricane Isaias continues to strengthen this evening as very deep convection of -85 to -90 degrees continues with a very dense CDO and improved curved outflow bands continue. In fact, given the very intense deep convection with a complete eyewall forming quickly indicates that rapid intensification may be underway soon with the latest microwave imagery showing a dense ring of convection that has started about 2 hours ago. Also recon has been making several passes through the center and has shown that with each pass the central pressure is dropping fast at a rate of 1 to 3 mb with a contracting wind field. If this system is undergoing rapid intensification this could mean a Major hurricane is a very slight possibility in 18 hours as it heads NW towered Florida.
