(19 Mar 2020) Health officials announced on Thursday that three more people had died in the US State of Illinois after contracting the new coronavirus and 422 people statewide had tested positive.

The nation's third-largest school district will remain closed through April 20.
"I know these restrictions are causing hardships, but we are doing this to save lives, pure and simple," she said.
Lightfoot said restricting the movement of patients and people with symptoms of COVID-19 "is the best way to prevent the virus from spreading further."
A total of four people have died in the Illinois as a result of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
The mayor also announced that the city would be suspending its debt collection and ticketing efforts, and added that she has created a fund to help small businesses.
